Labyrinth Canyon, Utah

This was our second year floating Labyrinth Canyon in Utah. Our trip started at Ruby Ranch and ended 48 miles down river at Mineral Bottom - just north of Canyonlands National Park. It was a challenging trip with daytime highs well over 100 every day and very muddy conditions due to a rain storm that had hit the area the night before we put in. The rain storm was mostly north of us, but it caused the river to rise about three feet overnight which washed a ton of mud and debris into the river. Unfortunately, it also resulted in a pretty large fish kill event and washed out a lot of beaches which made finding camp sites more challenging.
